ARRIVING AT VLC SPLITROCK:
39032 Harris Trail, Fallbrook, CA 92028
Or search for “Splitrock Farm and Retreat” on Google Maps
Instructions:
Be sure to use the address provided above. Do not use the VLC Splitrock pin on Google Maps, it will try and take you through the neighbor’s gated property.
Once you come through the main gate (if locked, gate code is 4283 SEND) continue on the main road (Splitrock Blvd) until you hit a small downhill paved section of road that splits at a large white storage container. Go right at the split and keep on the main road until you see the the giant shaded oak grove (about 1/4 of a mile past the white storage container).
The VLC shared parking area is the large grass prairie with boulders. The road loops around the prairie so feel free to drive around the loop and find a spot that you like. Parking is first come first serve.
Check-in:
Check-in starts at 3pm. It gets very dark on-site and hosts clock out before then so please read instructions and maps carefully if arriving at night. Feel free to text your host if you need assistance finding the space between 3-7pm.
Check-out:
All VLC guests must be re-booked or off-site by noon on their checkout date. Please text your camphost if needed.
VLC Camphosts
Our goal is to have locations fully stocked with hosts all season long but we're still growing & building our Camphost network. Just a heads up, this location doesn't currently have a dedicated host onsite to facilitate group outings and activities. You'll still have a beautiful location to call home, but unfortunately won't get the full VLC experience this time around.
For questions related to your booking or if you’d like to extend your stay, please text Tari (253) 344-7298. She is one of the VLC managers.

CAMPGROUND INFO:
Communal Area
The VLC area borders a giant shaded oak grove that acts as the communal hangout area. Here you’ll find games, communal firepits, and an outdoor kitchen along with soon to be indoor co-work communal spaces. You’ll also find the nearest bathrooms and showers here in the white shipping container. This space is shared with Hipcampers who are located on the other side of the oak grove.
Water:
The oak grove has potable water + hose for tank fill-ups next to the outdoor kitchen. Refer to the interactive map above.
Toilet & Shower:
There are flush toilets inside the Oak Grove storage container. The outdoor showers are on the other side of the storage container (opposite from the Oak Grove.)
You are also welcome to use any of the porta-potties throughout the property.
Trash & Recycling:
There’s trash and recycling dumpsters located in the woodcutting and staging area near the front of the property. If you are entering from the gate it will be the first turnout on your left. If you are leaving from the VLC area it will be the last turnout on your right. Due to the size of the property hauling trash bags around is a huge hassle so we ask that you keep your trash in your rig and dump it when entering/exiting the property.
Package / Amazon Deliveries:
Packages can be sent in your name to the Fallbrook post office in town (15 minutes)
Address: 747 S Mission Rd, Fallbrook, CA 92028
Packages can be held there for up to 14 days but we recommend having things arrive when you are onsite and picking them up within 24 hours of arrival.
Animals:
The goats, sheep, alpacas, pigs, and dogs are all free range and will likely often visit the site for food, water, and love.
Keep children in sight and pets on leash as there is a variety of farm animals and wildlife that free-roam and visit the property. You’ll see farm animals such as goats, peacock, sheep, pigs and two great Pyrenees. Frequent wildlife includes coyotes, bobcats, mountain lions, foxes, rattlesnakes, hawks, spiders, and more. The two Great Pyrenees patrol the property and are friendly to humans and pets; They keep the coyotes and bobcats from killing the free-range goats so they free-roam even at night. The two blue Staffies protect the owner’s home, so please take care when walking by as they like to tell everyone where the boundary is.

Extra Notes:
When visiting Splitrock Farm and Retreat you may hear training from Camp Pendleton. The nearby coastal and mountain terrain support a variety of military training at the base. Fleet Marine Force units use Camp Pendleton's ranges and training areas to maintain combat readiness, which can often be heard from campsites throughout the day and sometimes into the evenings.
Please NO: Hunting, fireworks, fires outside of designated fire rings, tossed cigarette butts, fruit picking, or loud music after 10 PM or before 8 AM.
You may collect firewood on the property, however, we do sell firewood with cash or Venmo while on-site. Please do not leave fires unattended. Extinguish fires completely before departing camp. Thank you!
